For instance, in our Bowls, we implement Holy Basil, the variety of basil used by Thais in their favorite Pad Ka-Prow, bringing authenticity to every bite. We provide extraordinary hospitality if you plan to dine at our Thai restaurant in Bethesda. However, you can also choose the home delivery option to enjoy at your home. Another exciting part is the catering service we provide at Kapow Buddy to cover a wide range of events.
Meet the Owner
It all started 5 years ago when I started working in the office as a project estimator. I went out for lunch almost every day and grabbed food from all sorts of quick-and-easy chain restaurants like Chipotle, BIBIBOP, Halal Guys, Cava, etc. As I did not see a similar concept that offers Thai food, it was always my dream to make one.
From putting together the business plan, researching the market, projecting financials, creating logo and design, finding the right partner, finding the right location, to renovating the space, Kapow Buddy is here and ready to serve the authentic Thai Street Bowl to this community. We aim to provide a versatile and satisfying dining option that meets the diverse needs of our customers, offering a delicious and convenient alternative to their dietary choices.

What is Kapow?
The word ''KAPOW'' is inspired from ''Ka-Prow,'' which means basil leaves. Pad Ka-Prow, a stir-fried dish with holy basil leaves with a choice of meat and rice, has been one of the most popular dishes in Thailand for centuries. Its rich taste and ease of preparation have made it one of the top two promoted dishes since World War II.
Pad Ka-Prow is even jokingly known as a ''thoughtless menu'' because Thai people tend to order it when they cannot decide what to get!
